Soft On (Fade in) or Pre-warning (Fade out)? This function avoids the sharp change of temperature in the filaments of the lamp in the ignition and with it an important increase of the life of the same ones. In some models it is called Fade in-out and is a pre warning before the disconnection that reduces the light for faint up to extinguishing, this allows us not to still have us in the dark, the duration for fault is 15 seconds or variable and with pre-warning of beginning in the S2103 (Under request duration can be programmed more time).
These functions only for load of type resistiv or Inductiv. After each pulse must be hoped that the light is On or off for a new push.
That is state & Level Memory? After a cut of light, be which is the duration of the cut, the Dimmer remember the last condition (if it was OFF or ON) and the last level used. These options are for fault or can be activated or not in the switch of the Dimmer. Dimmer ???Dimmers are devices used to vary the brightness of a light. By decreasing or increasing the RMS voltage and hence the mean power to the lamp it is possible to vary the intensity of the light output. Although variable-voltage devices are used for various purposes, the term dimmer is generally reserved for those intended to control lighting. Measurement of a halogen lamp showed 60% rated power consumption at apx 8% light output. Dimmers don't require any overlap in lighting areas to achieve their effect.
Preheat "
Soft On-Off, Fade In, Fade out" To soften the blow to the lamps slightly, dimmers may have a preheat function. This sets a minimum level, usually between 5% and 10%, which appears turned-off to the audience, but stops the lamp from cooling down too much. This also speeds up the lamp's reaction to sudden bursts of power that operators of rock'n'roll-style shows appreciate. The opposite of this function is sometimes called top-set. This limits the maximum power supplied to a lamp, which can also extend its life.
